Mark Dale Turner

Mark Dale Turner, affectionately known as "Howdy", passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, at his home in West Branch, MI. He was born on January 26, 1962, in West Branch to Dale and Jane (Brindley) Turner.  He lived in West Branch his entire life.

Howdy led a fulfilling life as a truck driver and dedicated hard worker. He attended Ogemaw Heights High School and cultivated a reputation for his strong work ethic and reliability. Howdy was known for his easygoing nature and enjoyed engaging in conversations with people. A simple man at heart, he cherished spending time at the Eagles in West Branch visiting with everyone that stopped in.

In his free time, Howdy found solace in two of his favorite hobbies - fishing and gardening. These activities brought him joy. The gardens he grew every year produced many crops that he would can and share with his family and friends.

Howdy will be deeply missed by his surviving family and friends, including his mother Jane Turner; siblings Mike Turner, Tim Turner, Karen Turner, and Mary (Drew Marentette) Turner; nieces and nephews Brittny (Eric), Kyle (Hannah), Hannah (David), Jason (Bonnie), Tanner (Danielle), Cassidy (Derek), and Kevin (Alison); as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Howdy was preceded in death by his father Dale and sister Kay Rabidue.

A Memorial Service to honor Howdy's life will be held on Friday, August 2, 2024, at 12:00 PM at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch.  Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate.

Howdy's kind spirit and gentle demeanor touched the lives of many, leaving behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
