Mark James Reed

Mark James Reed, age 67, passed away on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at his home in West Branch, MI surrounded by his loving family. He was born on July 28, 1954 in Pontiac, MI to James and Jean (Shepard) Reed.

Mark worked as a builder and contractor. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local #687. He loved riding motorcycles and had a collection of 7 or 8 at one time. Mark was a dynamic person and made everyone feel important. He was a jokester and enjoyed teasing his friends and family. His mother called him her “sunshine”.

Mark is survived by his wife, best friend, and soulmate, Laura Reed; brothers, Dean (Kathy) Reed and Scott (Jean) Reed; sisters, Paula (Jim) Killinger and April (Jake) Jameson; sister-in-law, Pam Reed; 17 nieces and nephews; father-in- law and mother-in-law, Vern and Cora Killinger; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Mark and Tamra Matthews; sister-in-law, Lois Killinger; and many great nieces and nephews. He was also shared with many friends in the community, that were dear to his heart.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Jeffrey and Patrick, and sister, Dawn Moore.

A graveside visitation will be held at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in West Branch on Friday, June 17, 2022 from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.
