Mark G. Edward

Mark G. Edward, age 24 of West Branch, passed away Sunday, January 9, 2011 at his home. Mark had lived in West Branch for the past 22 years. He was a 2004 graduate of Ogemaw Heights High School where he was a member of the NJROTC Color Guard. He received his highest rank of XO. Mark served in the U.S. Navy from 2004 to 2008 serving on the U.S.S. Sullivans, based in Mayport and Pensacola, Florida. He received a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautics from Embry Riddle University of Florida. Mark is survived by his parents, George and Susan Edward of West Branch, his brother Patrick Edward and his sister Margaret “Maggie” Edward both of West Branch. Also surviving are his grandfathers Rinaldo Luigi Edward of Allen Park and Joseph John Bialowicz of Canton and many other family and friends. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, January 14, 2011 from 2-9 p.m. with a Scripture Service and Rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. The Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 15, 2011 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch. Fr. Patrick will officiate. Burial will take place at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
