Marjorie L. Curtis

Marjorie L. Curtis, age 69, of Lupton, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. She had been a resident of Lupton for the past 4 years, formerly of Detroit. Marjorie graduated from Wittenberg College and continued her education at Wayne State University where she received a teaching degree. She taught Biology at Pershing High School in Detroit from 1967 to 1994. Survivors include her companion, Duane "Pete" Mitchell of Lupton, her brother, Ben (Doris) Miller of Northville and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Helen Miller and Kathryn Green. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Wednesday, May 30, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Matt Smith will officiate with burial following at Lane Heights Cemetery, Lupton. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
