Marilyn (Shorty) Beach

Marilyn "Shorty" Beach, age 74 passed away at her home after an extended illness. She had been a resident of West Branch for most of her life. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the West Branch City Planning Commission, the Ogemaw County Food Pantry and the Trinity Episcopal Church including the Altar Guild and the Vestry. Shorty is survived by her husband George, whom she married on July 24,1948 in West Branch, her children--Christine (Alvin) Anderson of West Branch, Jean (Jerry) Weiler of Bay City, Howard (Amy) Beach of West Branch and Arna Beach of West Branch, grandchildren--Teresa, Peter, Adam, Myka, David and Krista and great-grandchildren, Keegan and Kiah. She was preceded in death by her parents Jedd and Florence (Needham)Thomas and a granddaughter Leslie. The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday July 17, 2004 at the Trinity Episcopal Church in West Branch. The family will be present to receive friends at 10:00 A.M. The Reverend Philip A. Seitz, Rev. Gail Vince and Rev. Dan Stoneback will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands or to the Trinity Episcopal Church.
