Marilyn Larson Jacob

June 30, 1930 — August 6, 2021

Marilyn Larson Jacob, age 91, passed away Friday, August 6, 2021 at the Tawas Village in East Tawas. She was born on June 30, 1930 in Wyandotte, MI to Emil and Elvira (Dahl) Larson. Marilyn has lived in West Branch since 1972, previously of Riverview/Wyandotte, MI. She graduated from Eastern Michigan with her master’s in education and was a teacher for 35 years. Marilyn was very active in her local community volunteering at the Book Nook, Food Pantry, Ogemaw Historical Society, and the Ogemaw County Humane Society. She enjoyed traveling and has been to all 50 states, including overseas trips to Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and Central America.

She is survived by her daughters Barbara Scott of Mason, MI; Elizabeth Jacob of East Tawas; and Mary Jacob of Irvine, CA, her grandson Jacob Scott, and dear friend, who was like a sister, Rosemary (Charles) Bucska of Wyandotte.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Theodore Jacob.

A graveside for Marilyn will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, August 14, 2021 at the Glen Eden Cemetery 35667 Eight Mile Rd, Livonia, MI 48152.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Claws and Paws Rescue, West Branch, MI; West Branch Historical Society, or the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church of Rose City, MI.
