Marie Ellen Ferrell, age 99, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at her son’s home in St. Helen, MI. She lived in Dearborn, MI for most of her life. She was born on May 20, 1922 in Kearny, NJ to Alvin and Hazel (Goudy) Andrews.
Marie was married to the late Kenneth Ferrell for almost 70 years.
Marie was an active member of the First United Methodist Church in Dearborn and was a Sunday school teacher. She enjoyed camping in her Winnebago Motorhome with the “Camping Nighters”, who would meet once a month at different campgrounds, and spending the winters at her condo in Orange Beach, AL. She also enjoyed knitting, riding her Schwinn bicycle, taking walks around the neighborhood with friends, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Marie is survived by her son, Richard Ferrell; grandchildren, Adam (Courtney) Ferrell, Matthew (Gabrielle) Ferrell, Rebecca (Brian) Keasey, and Ryan (Stephanie) Ferrell; great grandchildren, Charlotte, Gabby, and Bennett; and siblings, Dick (Pat) Andrews and Don Andrews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters, Peggy Scott and Dottie Peterson, daughter-in-law, Sharon Ferrell, and sister-in-law, Joyce Andrews.
Per her wishes cremation has taken place.
