Margaret Morton

Margaret Morton, age 81 of West Branch, passed away Tuesday January 26, 2010 at her home. She was born in Glasgow Scotland on February 24, 1928. Margaret had lived in West Branch since 1969. She enjoyed playing bingo, gardening and being with her family. Margaret is survived by her children, Rosetta (Robert) Nelson, Alan (Kathleen) Morton and Laura (Terry) Saunders-Behrend all of West Branch, 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and her brother James Millar of Scotland. She was preceded in death by her husband, Peter “Scotty” Morton in 2000. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, January 28, 2010 from 2:30 to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Rev. Daniel Jansen will officiate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
