Margaret B. Lindsey, age 95 of St. Helen, passed away Thursday, October 3, 2013 at The Brook of Roscommon. Margaret had lived in St. Helen since 1976, formerly of Lapeer. She retired from the State of Michigan after 25 years. Margaret was a former volunteer at Tolfree Memorial Hospital, West Branch Regional Medical Center and Hospice of Helping Hands. She was active member of the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Roscommon, the Civic Center in St. Helen and the Red Cross of Flint. Margaret enjoyed bowling, gardening, reading and traveling. Margaret is survived by her children Kirk (Mary) Lindsey of Flint and Florida, Dawn (Charles) Bobay of Mackinaw City and Florida, her grandchildren Keith, Lindsey, Caron, Cheri, John, Tina and Wayne and 12 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward Leston Lindsey and her sisters, Frances Kempf and Dorothy Butterfield. Visitation at the Good Shepherd United Methodist Church in Roscommon will begin on Saturday, October 5, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Eric D. Kieb, Pastor will officiate. Burial will take place at Fairview Cemetery in St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to Hospice of Helping Hands, West Branch.
