Margaret Ann Micks, age 67, passed away Saturday, January 28, 2017 at the Lighthouse of Roscommon. Margaret lived in Roscommon for the past 12 years previously of Romeo, MI. Margaret was born on October 10, 1949 to John and Gladys (Miller) Micks in Chatham, Ontario, Canada. She was a member of St. Helen VFW post #5680, the St. Helen Civic Center, the Eagles Ladies Aux. in Imlay City, she enjoyed playing BINGO, and her numerous trips to the casino. Some of her favorite times of the year were spending Christmas with her families and the numerous Thanksgiving dinners that she prepared and served in St. Helen at the VFW hall.
Margaret is survived by her daughters Rose Blakely of Ft. Collins, CO; Gladys DeJesus of North Branch, MI; Maria (Misty) DeJesus of Imlay City, MI; Lisa (Herbert III) Tyson of St. Helen, MI; and Gloria (Tom) Bashaw of Romeo, her 24 loving grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; mother Gladys Micks of Capac, MI; loving partner Robert Hurd of Roscommon; son Wesley (Gaberielle) Hurd of Overland Park, KA; daughter Heather Tice of Eaton Rapids, MI; son Dennis Hurd of Eaton Rapids, 7 sisters; and 3 brothers. She is preceded in death by her father, and sister, Rosemary.
A memorial service will be held at the VFW Hall 1914 Lake Street St. Helen, MI 48656 in St. Helen on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 at 12:00PM with a luncheon to follow.
