Margaret A. (Baird) Mcgrail

Margaret A. (Baird) McGrail, age 83 of West Branch, passed away Monday, November 7, 2011 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Margaret had lived in West Branch for all of her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, the CCW and was a member and past president of the PTA of St. Joseph School. She worked for the law offices of Jennings and Turkelson for 30 years, retiring in December, 1988. Margaret is survived by her husband Robert McGrail of West Branch, her children, Barbara (Michael) Dabrowski of Davison, Laura (Steve) Kimball of West Branch, Kathleen (Chris) Sheltrown of Alger and Jeffrey Baird of West Branch, her stepchildren, Robert (Cheryl) McGrail Jr. of West Branch, Jane (Michael) Leither of Farmington Hills, Richard McGrail of Chicago, IL and John McGrail of Cleveland, OH, 17 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Also surviving is her brother Russell Thomas of Midland and her sister Doris (Thomas) Myers of Charlotte. She was preceded in death by her first husband Wayne Baird and her brothers, Richard, Robert and Tony Thomas. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, November 10, 2011 from 2-9 p.m. with a Ladies Rosary at 3:00 p.m. and a Scripture Service at 7:00 p.m. On Friday, Margaret will lie in state at St. Joseph Catholic Church beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund.
