Marcelline Marie Bashor, age 90, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019 at her home in Omer with her family by her side. She lived in Omer most of her life, with times living in West Branch and Southfield. Marcie was born on April 13, 1929 in Royal Oak to Edward and Vernie (Tellish) Husak. She enjoyed gardening and bowling. Marcie was inducted into the Ogemaw Bowling Hall of Fame and started bowling when she was 16 years old, receiving many awards. She even placed 2nd in the State Tournament in Muskegon around 1950.
Marcie is survived by her son, Edward (Dawn) Bashor of Omer; longtime companion, James Ward of Omer; grandchildren, EJ (Lisa) Bashor, Cyndi (Tom) Brissette, James Bashor, Jesse Bashor, and Brandi Bashor; great grandchildren, Jade, Trey, Jazmyn, Lincoln and Gage; sister, Carol (Edward) Green of Fayetteville, NC; sister in law, Joann Husak of Cadiliac; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward; brothers, Alex (Arlene) Husak and Joe Husak; grandson, Artie Bashor; and great grandson, Edward Bashor III.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Stillborn Infant U of M Memorial Fund in Ann Arbor or a hospice of your choice.
