Mabel L. Augustine

Mabel L. Augustine, age 84 of West Branch, passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She had lived in West Branch since 1967, formerly of the Gladwin-Beaverton area. Mabel was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #416 of St. Helen, the DAV Auxiliary, Wolverine Post, a Charter Member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3292 and the VFW Auxiliary Post #256 both of Gladwin. Survivors include her husband, Ervin Augustine of West Branch, her son, Arnold Elwood Jr. of St. Charles, 2 granddaughters, her sisters, Zelma Weaver of Ponca City, OK and Frieda Santinella of Vineland, NJ and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Steve Elwood and a sister, Hazel Bowles. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Friday, February 16, 2007 from 2:30 p.m until 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 17, 2007 at the funeral home. Rev. Dan Stoneback will officiate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch.
