Lydia A. Denton age 68, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2011 Tawas St. Joseph Hospital in Tawas City, Mi. Lydia was born and raised in Dexter, Missouri to Norris Coleman and Eva Geneva Stewart Coleman. Lydia has been a resident of Hale for the past 15 years previously form Swartz Creek and Flint. She was an active member of the Zion Church of the Brethren in Prescott; she loved gardening, flowers, feeding the birds, watching the deer, and being outdoors. She was also a great housekeeper and enjoyed many crafts. Lydia is survived by her husband of over 50 years Paul Denton of Hale, son Jeff Denton of Flint, daughter Paulette Hickey of Flint and her grandson Nathan Denton of Vernon, also surviving is a sister Nancy Shipman and brother Michael (Sandy) Stewart. She is preceded in death by her parents Norris Coleman and Eva Stewart, daughter Penny Denton, 1 brother and 1 sister. Visitation for Lydia will begin Monday, November 28, 2011 from 2-9 PM at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. Her funeral will be Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Burial will take place at the Logan Township Cemetery. Pastor Kevin Switzer will officiate.
