Lucille Catherine Fach, age 97, passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at The Villa at Rose City. She was born on March 28, 1924 in West Branch, MI to Frank and Catherine (Ehinger) Bohnard. Lucille lived in Rose City since 1956, but most of her life in Ogemaw County.
Lucille graduated from West Branch High School and moved to San Francisco to work for the telegraph company. She then moved back to Ogemaw County and worked at Parliament Drugs. Her and her husband, Allan, purchased the Fach farm on West Sage Lake Road. She helped on the farm, and she also built and started Dairy Queen in Rose City and owned Lucy’s Hen House.
Lucille enjoyed traveling, attending conventions all over the world with Dairy Queen, cooking for her family and baking. She was a member of the Questers Antique Club and Ogemaw Historical Society.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Randy Fach of Mt. Pleasant and Robert (Linda) Fach of Rose City; grandchildren, Allan (Mindy), Jeb (Val), Courtney (Greg) Hills, Lindsay (Morgan), Brandi (Stephen) Shellenbarger, and Kacie Fach; great grandchildren, Rolly, Addison, Mason, Aiden, Emma, Sara, Ethan, Saylor, Ali, Savannah, Hunter, Olivia, and Kaiser.; and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings, Rosena Fournier, Beulah Ruegsegger, Genevieve McKenna, and Monroe Bohnard.
The funeral mass will be held on Friday, November 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Catholic Church with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Father Emmanuel Finbarr will officiate. Burial will be at Rose City Cemetery.
