Louis Stanley Walters passed away Monday October 6, 2008 in Winter Haven Florida. He was a resident of Greenville, and Grand Rapids Michigan before retiring to Lakeland Florida for 30 Years. He served with the US Cost Guard during World War II, and was an elementary school principal. He was a member of the Optimist Club; he enjoyed golfing and playing cribbage in which he took 1st place in many cribbage tournaments. Mr. Walters is survived by his wife of 59 years Rita Walters of Lakeland, Fl. Children Beverly Roache of Overland Park, Kansas, Valerie Rainey of Westfield, Massachusetts, and Kay Banning of West Branch. 7 grand children and many great grandchildren. He is also preceded in death by a son Bruce Walters. A graveside service for Stanley was held at 11:00AM Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Brookside Cemetery, in West Branch. Father Robert Bissot officiated.
