Louis Abraham Jones, a kind and hard-working man, was born on Tuesday, January 4, 1938, in Port Sanilac, Michigan. He passed away peacefully on December 26, 2024, in St. Helen, Michigan, surrounded by his loving family.

Louis dedicated over 50 years to owning and operating Jones Construction, a family business that he was immensely proud of. His commitment to his work and his community was evident throughout his life.

He was a valued member of the American Legion Post #416 of St. Helen, the Eagles of West Branch, and the Moose of Harrison. Louis enjoyed being involved in these organizations, forming connections and friendships that enriched his life.

Louis is survived by his devoted wife, Marion Jones, of St. Helen. He leaves behind his daughter Deborah (Daniel) Evans of Tennessee, son Mark (Shannon) Jones of North Carolina, and daughter Darlene (Rory) Rase of St. Helen. Additionally, he was a proud grandfather to seven grandchildren: Mark, Sean, Robert, Kelly, Jessica, Tera, and Scott, and cherished his role as a great-grandfather to seven great-grandchildren: Eli, Spencer, Caden, Olivia, Lexi, Gracelyn, and Bradyn. He is also survived by his sister Karen Diem of Carsonville and sister-in-law Jennie Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Vanda (Ingles) Jones, his son Michael Jones, 3 sisters Dorothy Dumas, Wanda Schmidt, Beryl Devitt, and brother Glen Jones. 

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Louis will be remembered for his kindness and hard work, leaving a lasting legacy through his family and community. May he rest in peace.
