Lorna Marie Bernard

Lorna Marie Bernard, age 82 of West Branch, passed away Friday, February 14, 2014 at her home. Lorna was born March 3, 1931 in Lincoln Twp., MI to Homer and Wanda (Reeves) Barkley. She and Mike J. Bernard were married on June 15, 1953 and settled in Detroit to raise their four children. After retiring, the couple moved to West Branch, MI in 1991. Lorna enjoyed reading, cross-stitch and her grandchildren and great grandsons.
Lorna is survived by her children: Sandra (Ken) Wasielewski, Susan (Gary) Obudzinski, Duane Bernard, and Sally (Dean) Hilleman; grandchildren: Brian, Michelle, Timothy, Jeremy, Karen, Ashley, Courtney, Danielle, Christopher, Tony, Mark, Katlynne and Gina; and two new great grandsons: Linken and Cooper; sister: Winifred Alfaro and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister, Permelia Wiltfong.
Visitation at Steuernol McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will be Sunday, February 16, 2014 from 3-7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Monday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home and Deacon Glen Painter will officiate. Burial will take place at Clayton Twp. Cemetery.
