Lisa Jo Mccue

Lisa Jo McCue (Steelman), age 50, born August 6, 1967 and was called home by the Lord on Friday, June 29, 2018. She was a beloved daughter of Joanne (Lee) Papple of West Branch. She was the mother of five miraculous children, Randy (Rachel) Steelman of Traverse City, Daryl Steelman, Hannah (James) Johnson, Dallas Steelman, and Alicia Steelman, all of West Branch. She was the doting grandmother of three boys, Jacob, Zander and Logan Steelman. She shared her life with four big sisters; Dottie (John) Barnes of Port Huron, Vicky McCue of Port Huron, Sherie (Terry) Fahey of Avoca, Pam (Kolin) Lashbrook of Goodells, as well as two big brothers; Rod (Karyn) McCue and Danny (Rachel) McCue of Columbus Twp; a step brother, Steve (Becky) Papple; and a step sister, LeAnn (Sam) Cottle. She was loved by several generations of family members and friends. Lisa was preceded in death by R. David McCue (father), Harvey McCue (brother), and Dylan Steelman (grandson), who escorted her through the gates of Heaven.

Lisa’s priorities centered around her family. She enjoyed planning activities and parties. She spent many memorable adventures with those she loved camping, tubing, swimming at the beach, fairs, carnivals, and vacations; and was up to anything that involved fun and her family. Lisa was retrospective and relished a good book. She was an avid reader and appreciated different genres. She was artistic, smart, kind, loving, generous and well-versed, which added to her charm and charisma. In times of other’s distress and insecurities she was quick to quote the Bible and give sound advice…. and if that didn’t fix what ailed you, you could always count on her good cooking to warm your heart. She had a way of making you feel better and you knew you were truly blessed when in her presence.

Join us to celebrate Lisa’s life on Monday, July 9, 2018 at West Branch Church of God, 1835 W M-55, West Branch, MI with visitation from 1:30-4:30 p.m. and at 2:00 p.m. a Short Service.
