Linda Cecil Greene

Linda Cecil Greene, age 82, passed away on Monday, August 5, 2024, at her home in West Branch, MI surrounded by her loving family and friends. She was born on December 24, 1941, in West Branch to her parents Cecil and Iva (Linseman) Bohlinger.

One of Linda's proudest accomplishments was calling West Branch home throughout her entire life. Additionally, she spent 15 wonderful years wintering in Beverly Hills, FL, creating cherished memories with loved ones along the way.

On July 12, 1961, she married Joe Greene in West Branch. 

Linda lived a fulfilling life centered around her family and her passions. She was known for her love of golfing, gardening, reading, painting, and most of all, her faithful companion, her dog Laddie. Her dedication to these hobbies brought joy to those around her and left a lasting impact on the community. She attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch.

In the hearts of those who knew her best, Linda will forever be remembered for her kind spirit, unwavering love, and boundless creativity. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Linda is survived by her daughters Jennifer (Eugene) Briggs and Sara Greene; grandchildren Whitney (Brendan) Pizzala, Sydney (Mark Jennings) Briggs, Sumner Verlinden, Michael Verlinden, and Ruby Verlinden; great-grandchild Carter Jennings; nephew Steve Hill; best friend Janet Blanchard; along with numerous relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Joe Greene, son Wade Greene, sister Diane Scott, and niece Gina Hill.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.
