Lester H. Gravlin

Lester H. Gravlin, age 73, passed away on Thursday, August 11, 2016 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. He had lived in St. Helen, MI since 2000, formerly of Allen Park, MI. Les was born on December 16, 1942 in Taylor, MI to George and Marcella (Roberts) Gravlin and raised by his step mother, Fern Gravlin. On November 11, 1989 he married Ruth Quick in Toledo, OH. He was in the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1968. Les was a member of the Knights of Columbus, St. Helen Catholic Church, and Jaycees. He was a board member of the Security Bank in Southgate, MI, serving as the Vice President. He belonged to the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Les was a proud member of the NRA and spent time outdoors hunting, fishing, boating, camping, playing pickle ball, and enjoyed traveling. He cherished every moment while spending time with his family.

Les is survived by his loving wife, Ruth Gravlin of St. Helen, MI; children, Gary (Melissa) Gravlin of Allen Park, MI, David (Beth) Gravlin of Allen Park, MI, Kevin (Shelly) Gravlin of Canton, MI, Donna (Alan) Reynolds of Novi, MI, Sue Reeves of Taylor, MI, Ann Reeves of Plano, TX, and Bobbi (Kevin) Nigg of Galesburg, MI; 14 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild; and sister, Georgene Gravlin of Knoxville, TN. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Monday, August 15,2016 at 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 3:00 p.m. Sister Barbara Matievich O.P. will officiate.
