Leslie T. Kempfer

Leslie Todd Kempfer, 37, of St Helen, MI passed away at home with family and friends on April 6, 2008. Leslie was born Feb. 14, 1971 in Royal Oak, MI to Les & Sherrie Kempfer. He graduated from Roscommon High School in 1989. He graduated from Ferris State University in 1994 with a Bachelors degree in Small Business Management. He worked at Wolohan Lumber in Houghton Lake as a department manager. He went to work for Walmart in 2002 and was an assistant manager in Cadillac since 2005. His favorite pastime was collecting Star Wars, Star Trek, Super Heroes, comic books, baseball cards, and many other collectibles. He loved to deer hunt, fish, golf and watch TV. He was also a member of SAL St Helen Post 416. He is survived by his parents Les & Sherrie Kempfer of St Helen; Jill (Chuck) McPherson of Roscommon; Jason Kempfer (Michelle Wilkie) of Gaylord; Grandmother Verna Lang of Roscommon; nieces Madison and Molly McPherson and Mackenzie Wilkie; Many aunts, uncles and cousins; Extended family (Pershinske) of Engadine; Dearest friend Amy Schmitt of St. Helen. He was preceded in death by grandparents Andrew Lang, Elsie & Fred Pershinske, Helen & Les Kempfer, William M Thurston; uncle Bill Thurston, and aunt Nancy Norberg. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Richfield Twp Library or William Beaumont Rehabilitation Center in Royal Oak, MI. Funeral services were held Wednesday April 9, 2008 at Steueronol & McLaren Funeral Home in St Helen. Interment took place at Fairview Cemetery in St Helen.
