Leroy Wheaton

LeRoy Wheaton, age 79 of West Branch, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Bortz Health Care in West Branch. He had lived in West Branch since 1990, formerly of Utica. He was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in West Branch and he retired from the U.S. Air Force, Active Reserve in 1986. He enjoyed competitive shooting. Mr. Wheaton is survived by his wife Dawn Wheaton of West Branch; daughter, Marrianne (David) Kehrig of Fair Haven, MI and Robin Michael (Carol) Wheaton of Wapakoneta, OH; grandchildren, Jeffrey Wheaton of Peckskill, NY, Joel (Olivia) Wheaton of Amberdean, MD and Kathryn (John) Untener of Royal Oak; great-grandchildren, Cecilia, Rey and David and his brother, Louis (Frances) Wheaton of Grand Rapids. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, December 28, 2005 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at the funeral home. Rev. Andrew Gruenhagen will officate with burial following at Brookside Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Ogemaw County Humane Society.
