Leonard G. Dunn

Leonard G. Dunn, age 87 of Gladwin, passed away Friday, March 13, 2009 at The Brook in West Branch. He had lived in Gladwin since 1979, formerly of Freeland. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in West Branch and he enjoyed hunting and fishing. Leonard retired from MDOT in 1979 after 30 years of service. He loved his family and working on his land. Leonard is survived by his children, Wendy (Chuck) Gould of Brighton, Vicki Rakowski of Bay City, Deborah (Thomas) Forsberg of Freeland and Monica (Larry) Rose of Lake Orion; grandchildren, Lindsey, Ryan, Matthew, Michelle and Sarah, great-grandchildren Kara and Olivia and his sister, Doris Poling of Amanda, OH. He was preceded in death by his wife Lucille in 1988, his grandson, Jeffrey Bailey and two brothers, Donald and Karl Dunn. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, March 15, 2009 from 2-8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate with burial taking place at Edwards Township Cemetery, West Branch. Memorial Contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, West Branch.
