Lelan Clarence Eckstein Jr., age 85, passed away on Monday, February 15, 2021 at his home in St. Helen with his family by his side. Lee was born in Traverse City, MI on February 17,1935 to Lelan and Betsy Eckstein. He lived in St. Helen, formerly of Swartz Creek.
Lee was one of the hardest working men for his whole life. He retired from General Motors as a supervisor and was also a special deputy for Genesee County Sheriff Department. Besides work, he loved to fish and hunt. He also loved his snowmobile and motorcycles. He worked hard to play hard.
Lee is survived by his son, Kim (Kathy) Eckstein; daughter, Vickie (Harold) Vliet; grandchildren, Jennifer, Ian and Mike Eckstein, Nathan and Raymond Vliet, Jeremy Meyer, Christeen Stimae and Steven Eckstein; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Bonnie Eckstein, second wife, Gwinn Eckstein, son, Steven, daughter, Mindi, parents, brothers, and sisters.

Cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
