Lee Leon Laux, age 73, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015 at his home in St. Helen, MI. He was born on April 4, 1941 in Cleveland, OH to Leonard Laux and Rose Aho Danko. On June 18, 1981, he married Linda Tyson in Roscommon, MI. Lee has lived in St. Helen since 1977, formerly of Cleveland, OH. In his early years, he worked for the airlines. He was an over the road semi-truck driver and drove all over the US and Canada. Lee enjoyed hunting, trout and salmon fishing, trapping, and tanning animal hides.
Lee is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Linda Laux of St. Helen, MI; stepson, Rosario Tyson of St. Helen, MI; family dogs: Sassie, Jessie, Trixie, Bowser, and Lady; brothers: Dale Danko of Green Castle, IN and Renee (Debbie) Danko of Sagamor Hills, OH; sister, Roberta Treer “Buzzie” of Copperas Cove, TX; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Laux and Rose Aho Danko.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 12:00 p.m. at the American Legion Post #416 in St. Helen, MI.
Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
