Leburn Lee Elmer Patterson

Leburn Lee Elmer Patterson, age 86, passed away on Saturday, October 7, 2017 at his home in West Branch, MI. He had lived in West Branch for the past 5 years, formerly from Gladwin, MI. Leburn was born on July 10, 1931 in Tuscumbia, AL to Albert and Bessie (Roden) Patterson. He married Robbie Best on July 21, 1952 in Corinth, AL. Leburn served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was the vice president of Trailer Queen Inc. and retired in 2005. He was a member of Hilton Road Baptist Church in Ferndale, MI and was also a Masonic and Shriner. He belonged to the American Legion, Eagles, and Detroit Commandry. Leburn spent his summers in Gladwin and traveled to Texas in the winter months. He enjoyed fishing trips in Alaska and hunting. He was an outdoorsman and a jack of all trades.

Leburn is survived by his loving wife, Robbie Patterson of West Branch; daughter, Wanda “Gail” Patterson of West Branch; son, Leburn “Buddy” (Joye) Patterson of Commerce Township, MI; grandchildren, John Carter of West Branch, Gregory (Heather) Buschmann, Edward (Danielle) Carter, Joseph (Amy) Buschmann, Crystal Patterson, Kachena Patterson and Cody Patterson; great grandchildren, Tyler, Dylan, Chace, Griffin, Amore, McKayla, Sophia, Kallen, Kamden, Shila, Autumn and Ariella; great great grandchild, James Carter; and sister, Leona Fountain. He is preceded in death by his parents and daughter, Wynema Patterson Buschmann.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, October 12, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Rev. Tim Dibble will officiate.
