Lawrence Eliakim Morse

Lawrence ”Larry” E. Morse, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, April 18, 2017 at Peaceful Acres Assisted Living in West Branch, MI after a lengthy illness. He had lived in West Branch since1990, formerly of Standish, MI. Larry was born on December 1, 1940 in Dearborn, MI to Wayne and Helen (Borshiem) Morse, who preceded him in death. Larry worked as a reporter or the Bay City Times, Detroit Free Press, and WNEM TV5. He also was a Real Estate Agent and co-owner of Country Store in Onaway, MI. Larry was a hunter, fisherman, and trapper.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Jean Morse; daughter, Lori Grusnis; granddaughters, Sophie and Lili Grusnis; sisters, Jan Scott and Lois (Dee) Thompson. He is also survived by stepchildren and step grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Saturday, April 29, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Howard Travis will officiate.
