Larry Russell Stade, age 82, passed away at his son's home on Wednesday May 24, 2017 with his family by his side. Larry was born December 21, 1934 to the late Fred and Clara Stade. He served in the United States Army in the late 1950s. He was proud to serve in the Military along with his three older brothers. Following his honorable discharge, he worked for his family farm for a significant amount of years. In 1970, he was employed by the Romeo Community Schools where he was a dedicated custodian for 22 years. His retirement in 1992 lead him to be an avid deer hunter and number one supporter of his family farm.
Larry is survived by his devoted caregiver Louise Egan; two children, Carl Stade (Kimberly Stade) and Laura Stade; three grandchildren, Torey Rouillon (Jean-Francois Rouillon), Dennis Stade (Latina Stade), and Stefanie Frost (Joshua Frost); and three great grandchildren, Seth Stade, Mia Stade, and Eleanore Rouillon.
Larry’s funeral services will be held at Steuernol and McLaren Funeral Homes in West Branch, MI on Tuesday May 30, 2017 with a visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. followed by the service at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate. Burial will take place the following day at Davis Cemetery in Ray, MI.
