Larry Douglas Brindley, age 72, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City, MI suddenly from acute leukemia. He was diagnosed with myeloproliferative disorder in 2012 and had 9 very good years after his diagnosis.
Larry was born on April 25, 1949 in West Branch to Lorn and Margaret (Rosenthal) Brindley. He lived in West Branch, MI his entire life.
He graduated from West Branch High School in 1969, and was employed with West Branch Industries, retiring after 31 years. After retirement, Larry took on carpentry jobs and had some special friends he enjoyed working for. He was talented and very precise with his carpentry work. Larry was a member of the Zion Bible Church in Prescott. He enjoyed camping, woodworking, and gardening. Larry was known for his beautiful vegetable garden.
Larry is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Sally Brindley of West Branch; children, Eric (Lynn Walker) Brindley of West Branch, Jessica (Kevin) Zettle of West Branch, Mike Muzik of Prescott, and Peggy (Steve) Graves of Harrison; daughter-in-law, Pam Brindley of Prescott; grandchildren, Britney, Mariah (Ian), Caspian, Juliann (Seth), Breann, Landen, Lillyann, Janelle, Kelby, Hayden, Michael, Kasey, Kalynn (Nathan), and Trisha (Matt); great grandchildren, Miley, Kaison, Harper, Titan, Bentley, Brianna, and Charlotte; brothers, Keith (Joyce), Bob, Raymond (Linda), and Lorn Jr. (Joyce); sisters, Donna (Tommy) Lombard, Wanda Goss, and Deloras Fogarasi; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son, Troy, sister, Lauretta (Albert) Grezeszak, brothers-in-law, John Fogarasi and Russ Goss, and sister-in-law, Betty Brindley.
Cremation has taken place.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Bible Church, 3494 E. M-55, Prescott, MI (across from Miller Feed).
Memorial contributions can be made to Zion Bible Church and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
