Kristin Marie Provoast

Kristin Marie Provoast, age 33, passed away on Saturday, April 30, 2016 unexpectedly at her home in West Branch, MI. She had lived in West Branch since 2000, formerly from Rose City, MI. Kristin was born to James and Dawn (McClinchey) Ward in Jackson, MI on July 7, 1982. She married Adam Provoast in West Branch on October 19, 2002. Kristin graduated from Ogemaw Heights High School in 2000 and graduated from Kirtland Community College from the Cosmetology, Massage Therapy, and Nursing programs. She was a LPN and recently received her RN degree. She loved her family and her children. Kristin enjoyed taking pictures, watching her kids play ball, riding golf carts and 4 wheeling with her family. She also enjoyed going “down to the pond” and camping. She was a fun, energetic, loving, and giving person.

Kristin is survived by her husband, Adam Provoast; children, Brayden, Brandt, and Brynn; parents, James and Dawn Ward; mother and father in law, Don and Jeanne Provoast; brother, Justin (Cory) Ward; nephew and nieces, Dylan Ward, Alli Ward, and Kyli Ward all of West Branch, MI; brothers and sisters in law, Scott (Gena) Provoast of Freeland, MI and John (Nelsabeth) Provoast of Bonita Springs, FL; niece and nephew, Tesla Provoast and Luke Provoast, both of Freeland, MI; grandmothers, Barbara McClinchey of Munith, MI and Betty Ward of Stockbridge, MI; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. She is preceded in death by her grandfathers, Robert McClinchey and Howard Ward; and grandparents, Alfred and Gladys Guoan and William and Katy Provoast.

Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Wednesday, May 4, 2016 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor David Kurtz will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the family, to be used for a college fund for her children.
