Kenneth Miles Weber

July 13, 1954 — July 18, 2019

Kenneth Miles Weber, 65, passed away Thursday, July 18, at his home in West Branch.

Ken was born in Pontiac to Willard and Bethany (Miles) Weber. Most of his working years, Ken managed apartments in Detroit, Mio, and Kalkaska where many of his tenants became a second family to him.

Ken will be remembered for his infectious smile, love of ties, and giving heart. Whether playing Santa at nursing homes, hospitals, parades and family gatherings or volunteering for church and community events, Ken loved to give of his time and talents. He served as Chairperson for the National Trout Festival in Kalkaska for 5 years (but he didn’t fish!). Ken also loved serving with De Colores, including one year as rector, before his health limited his ability to serve.

Ken is survived by his mother Beth (Miles) Weber of West Branch, his “mirror image” twin brother, Cliff (Arlene) Weber of Clarkston, other siblings Dave (Peg) Weber of Chesterfield, Colleen (Tim) Benn of West Branch, Dan Weber of Houghton, Pat (Claude) Weber-Rohrer of West Branch, Brian (Dawn) Weber of Chesterfield, Laura (Mike) Schorn of West Branch, and Todd Boris, adopted brother through organ donation, of Dearborn Heights. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Special mention is made of John Jones of North Dakota, whom he loved like a son, and Tom Miles of Colorado, a cousin by blood; a friend by choice.

Ken was preceded in death by his father, Willard Weber, niece Kristi Waddell, brother Jim Weber, and brother Paul Weber.

A memorial service will be held at the First United Methodist Church in St Louis, MI, on Saturday, July 27 at 11:00am.

Donations in memory of Ken may be made to New Dawn Shelter in Gladwin.

Arrangements were handled by Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch. Online condolences can be shared at www.steuernolmclaren.com
