Kenneth Bragg, age 80, passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at his home in West Branch, MI. He had lived in West Branch for most of his life. Ken was born on September 26, 1936 to Clarence and Caroline (Schaefer) Bragg in Flint, MI. On October 11, 1958, he married Mary Breadon in West Branch. Ken was a Christmas tree farmer and worked for the West Branch Post Office as a postal carrier for 33 years. He was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. Ken was a master gardener and enjoyed woodworking, and created beautiful pieces.
Kenneth is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Mary Bragg of West Branch; children, Gwen (Tim) Gwisdala of Bay City, MI, Rodney (Cathy) Bragg of Gaylord, MI, Dominic (Tracy) Bragg of Harbor Springs, MI, Jacqueline (Jeff) Mailley of Lynchburg, VA, and Kenneth Bragg of Columbus, OH; grandchildren, Shanna (Neil) Horsfall, Wesley (Tara) Gwisdala, Bridget Mailley, Amanda Howard, Carey Bragg, Anastasia Bragg, Elijah Bragg, Isaiah Bragg, Seth Bragg, Micah Bragg, David Bragg, Zakiya Bragg, and Jesse Bragg; great grandchildren, Phoebe Horsfall, Kenneth Howard, Connor Howard, NoemiMarie Gwisdala, and Bodhi Horsfall; siblings, Geraldine Kelsey of Dearborn, MI, Raymond (Bev) Bragg of West Branch, MI, Lois Corba of Frankenmuth, MI, Mildred Sharrow of Saginaw, MI, Elaine (Tom) Coha of Burton, MI, Leonard (Helen) Bragg of West Branch, MI, and Dennis Bragg of FL. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Harold Bragg.
Visitation at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Sunday, February 5, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be on Monday, February 6, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church at 12:00 p.m. with visitation starting at 11:00 a.m. Father Patrick Maher will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
