Kenneth Carl McPherson, age 91, passed away on Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at his home in West Branch with his family by his side. He was born on November 11, 1927 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Francelia (Lindemen) McPherson. Keny lived in West Branch since 1991, formerly from Mt. Clemens. He severed in the Army Air Forces during World War II. Keny owned a contracting business in Mt. Clemens, Huron Acoustic Title Company for many years. He was the owner of Green Briar Golf Course in Lupton. He was an avid perch fisherman, enjoyed woodworking and loved people. He was a people person and popular in the community. Keny enjoyed spending his winter months in St. James City, FL.
Keny is survived by his children, Kari (Victoria) McPherson, Linda (Bob) Ham, and Kenneth “Ernie” (Pamela) McPherson; grandchildren, Tim, Patrick, Erin, Lauren, Sarah, Michael and Zachary; 8 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Ella.
A memorial service will be held at the Green Briar Golf Course in Lupton on Saturday, June 22, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. with Veteran Honors.
Memorial Contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, Hospice Compassus, and Ogemaw County Humane Society.
