Kathy Ann Clark

Kathy Ann (Mier) Clark, 69, of West Branch, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 22, 2024, at MyMichigan Medical Center surrounded by family and loved ones after a courageous battle with chronic pulmonary fibrosis.


She was born on July 31, 1954, in West Branch to Burt C. Mier and Katherine M. (Linsenman) Mier. She attended St. Joseph Catholic School and Ogemaw Heights High School, where she graduated in 1972. She was a factory worker; working locally at Parkway Plastics, Taylor Door and Sandvik, retiring in 2016. She enjoyed rooting for the Detroit Tigers and birdwatching. She enjoyed reading and could beat most anyone on Jeopardy. She had a green thumb and lived nearly her whole life on the family dairy farm.


She is preceded in death by her parents, Burt C. Mier (1996) and Katherine M. (Linsenman) Mier, grandparents, Leo and Lavina (Buckle) Linsenman and Frank and Ruth (Scranton) Mier. She is survived by her daughters, Jamie (Brad) Pattullo of Edinboro, Pennsylvania, and Julie (Dan) Quates of Hempstead, Texas; her eight grandchildren Berneil (18), Clark (16), and Grant (12) Pattullo, and River (10), Willow (6), Bear (4), Canyon (2), Archer (4 months) Quates; her brother Larry Mier of West Branch; her sisters Joyce (Loren) Brindley of West Branch and Janet (Scott) Morse of Flushing; her nieces Holly (EJ) McNulty, Sara (Garrick) Griffith, Lisa (Matthew) James and her nephew Ryan (Beth) Pidcock.


The family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Elizabeth Franzosi for her friendship and compassionate care both before and during illness.


Kathy was a generous gift giver who loved supporting and sharing with others. Donations in her honor can be given to Friends 4 TNR and Paws and Claws Rescue where she sponsored several animals, as well as the Autism Society of Northwestern Pennsylvania.


A newspaper announcement will be made regarding a summertime Celebration of Life; inviting family and friends to join together in her memory.
