Kathleen Lula Slider

Kathleen L. Slider, age 58 of West Branch, passed away Saturday, November 26, 2016 at her home in West Branch. She was born on May 27, 1958 to Fred and Kathleen Lumpkins in Detroit. She has lived in West Branch since 2013, formerly of Hazel Park. Kathleen was a past member of Eastern Star in Hazel Park, VFW Post in Royal Oak, and Moose Lodge in Auburn Hills. She also volunteered for Michigan Humane Society, Surline Elementary Schools Art Program, and Ogemaw County Thrift Store. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, and special friends, Carol, Gail, and Ronnie.

Kathleen is survived by daughter, Dana Obey of West Branch, son, Timothy “Little Guy” Obey of St. Helen, grandchildren, Skylar and Miles. Also surviving are sisters, Teana Mauney of Hazel park, Carla (Art) Miller of Gilbert, AZ, brother, Curt (Donna) Bell of Paw Paw, MI, Edward Slider, lifetime friend, Mike and Anna Obey of West Branch, and extended family, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 2-8 PM.

Memorial Contributions may be made to the grandchildren’s college fund.
