Katherine Maneva Nieman

Katherine Maneva Nieman, affectionately known in her community as Miss Kitty, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 28,2024, at The Villa in West Branch, MI, at the age of 94. She was born on May 13, 1930, in Detroit, MI to Albert and Maneva Harris. She lived in St. Helen, MI for over 40 years, formerly of Highland, MI.

For over 20 years, Katherine brought joy to her workplace at the Hen House in St. Helen, where she was a cherished member of the community. Later, she served as a welcoming face as a greeter at Walmart in West Branch, always ready with a smile and a kind word for customers.

Her interests brought joy into her life and the lives of those around her. Katherine found happiness in playing cards, sharing moments over a drink of gin, and spending quality time with her family.

She is survived by her children, Mike Fliam, Cindy (Dennis) Cameron, and Dave (Kris) Jensen, 19 grandchildren and several great grandchildren who will carry forward her legacy of kindness and her unwavering dedication to family.

Katherine reunites with her beloved parents, Albert and Maneva Harris, and her cherished children, Marsha Schutte and Sandra Sue Jensen, as well as her sons, William Fliam and Richard Fliam.

Per her wishes cremation has taken place.
