Katherine G. Blanchard

Katherine G. Blanchard, age 82 of West Branch, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region in Bay City. She had lived in West Branch for most of her life and was a member of Oak Grove Church in Edwards Township and was a volunteer at West Branch Regional Medical Center for 17 years. Katherine enjoyed reading, casino trips, crocheting, music and singing, old movies and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Katherine is survived by her children, Floyd (Wanda) Blanchard, John (Anita) Blanchard and Janet Blanchard all of West Branch, granddaughters, Lisa K. Blanchard, Ashley A. Blanchard and Jenifer T. Nicholas, grandsons, Trevor A. Blanchard, Geoffrey I. Blanchard and Jeremy C. Tennant and great-grandchildren Ian J. Boboltz, Ella R. Blanchard and Andrew M. Dault. She was preceded in death by her children, Cynthia Blanchard in 1959, Richard Blanchard in 2008 and Donald Blanchard in 2011, her parents, her stepfather, her sisters Jonina Stuart and Marge Gates and her brothers George Stirrat Jr. and Robert Stirrat. A Memorial Service will be held at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. The family will be present to receive friends at 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Pastor Paul Klassen will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
