Karen Marie Tinnin

Karen Marie Tinnin, age 73, passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2021, at MidMichigan Health in West Branch. She was born on August 8, 1947, in Flint, MI to Clarence and Marjorie (Smith) Hawkins. She has lived in West Branch since 2006, previously from Hale, MI. Karen attended grade school at Sacred Heart Catholic School and high school at Flint Northwestern in Flint. She went to Mr. Edward's School of Cosmetology but much more enjoyed staying home and raising her family. She attended St. Pius Catholic Church in Hale, enjoyed shopping, gardening, decorating, and was always on the go, but above all she loved and adored her family.

Karen is survived by her children, Matthew (Valerie) Tinnin of West Branch, Michele (Brad) Hetzer of Montrose, Melissa (Nathan) Shoup of West Branch, her boyfriend of thirty years Michael Galvin of West Branch, sister Becky (Ruben) Gutierrez of Saginaw, eleven grandchildren Brandon, Julian, Madyson, Maddix, Brantley, Bryson, Bella, Braxton, Logan, Gracie and Emma, one great-granddaughter Melodie, nephew Mario and her niece Gina. Also surviving is her beloved companion, her dog Winston.
Karen is preceded in death by her parents and husband Danny Tinnin.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, she will be interred next to her late husband at the New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint, MI.
