Karen L. Hurney

Karen L. Hurney, age 69 passed away Sunday June 13, 2010 at Munson Health Care in Traverse City. Karen had lived in St. Helen since 1987. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #416 of St. Helen and the Eagles of West Branch. She was an avid reader and her family and girl friends were very important to her. Karen is survived by her children, Kristine (Jeff) Johnson of Plymouth, Dennis (Loretta) Morton of Bridgeport, James (Michelle) Palmer of Little Rock, AR, Terry Kitolski of Menasha, WI, Sandy (John) White of Windsor, Ontario, Tracy (Tim) Johnson of Commerce Township, and John Palmer of St. Helen, 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 16, 2010 until the time of the service at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Dan Stoneback will officiate. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
