Julie Elizabeth Hart

Julie Elizabeth Hart, age 52, passed away on Sunday, December 6, 2020 at St. Joseph Mercy Oakland in Pontiac, MI surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 15, 1968 in Pontiac to Perry and Lynnette (Bunin) Goldy. Julie lived in Port Huron since February 2020, formerly of Imlay City. She served in the United States Navy. She married Michael Hart in West Branch on October 16, 2010. Julie was raised in West Branch and was a member of the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church. She enjoyed crafts, baking, being outdoors in nature, journaling, writing poetry, researching and most of all, spending time with her family.

Julie is survived by her husband, Michael Hart of Port Huron; children, Jessica (Ken) Laming of Port Huron, Josie (Richie) Schizas of West Branch, Jason (Brianna) Wiltse of Rose City, Jeremiah “Jake” Barth of Houghton Lake, Shelby (Carl) White of Monroe and Amanda Hart of West Branch; parents, Perry and Lynne Goldy of West Branch; grandchildren, Brayden, Wyatt, Nicholas, Keegan, Sophia, Marcy, Dublin, with another one on the way; sister, Terri (David) Jones of West Branch and Melinda (Pat) Laurie of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews; and pets, paw grandbabies. She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Erma and Wilbur Hart, Walter and Martha Goldy, Alexander Bunin and Lois Bunin.

Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch on Sunday, December 13, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Ogemaw Hills Free Methodist Church in West Branch on Monday, December 14, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation starting at 10:00 a.m. Pastor David Kurtz will officiate. Burial will be at Brookside Cemetery in West Branch.

Visitation will be held with precautions, due to the current pandemic, limiting the number of attendees at a given time.
