Julia S. Lancour

Julia S. Lancour, age 91 of St. Helen, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2006 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. She had lived in St. Helen since 1996, formerly of Flint. She loved to read and she was a sports fan, especially enjoying college football. Mrs. Lancour is survived by her children, Ida Schonberg of St. Helen, Veronica Lancour and Joe Lancour both of Grand Blanc, grandchildren, Diane, Ted, Rick, Jodi, Ida, Sara and Josh, 15 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Also surviving is her brother, Stanley Michalik of Warren and her sisters, Stella Zodina of Pinconning and Ann Snell of Grand Blanc. She was preceded in death by her husband Ivan in 1988 and a son Raymond. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in St. Helen will begin on Tuesday, August 15, 2006 from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, August 16, 2006 at St. Helen Catholic Church in St. Helen. Fr. Richard Seifferly will officiate with burial following at Fairview Cemetery, St. Helen. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association.
