John T. Krauskopf

John Thomas Krauskopf, age 76, of West Branch passed away Friday, January 9, 2009 at West Branch Regional Medical Center. Happy John had lived in West Branch since 1995, formerly of Royal Oak. He was an active charter member of the Moose Lodge #440 in Skidway Lake. He was also a member of the American Legion and Eagles of Hale. Happy John served during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. He loved boating and living on the lake. Happy John is survived by Linda Harpold of West Branch, son, Robert (Linda) Krauskopf of Madison Heights, daughter, Karla (Gary) Barnes of Waterford, grandchildren, Melissa Krauskopf (Michael Yanska), Jeffrey Krauskopf, Gregory Barnes, Brooke Barnes, Christopher Dillon, David (Brittany) Dillon, great grandson, Jake Dillon, sisters, Rose Lambert of Prescott, Mary (Walter) Hauser-Baranowski of Grand Rapids, sister-in-law, Beverly Krauskopf of Rochester Hills and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin Monday, January 12, 2009 from 11 AM until time of service at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ogemaw County Humane Society or Association for Retarded Citizens (A.R.C.).
