John Robert Mcdiarmid

John Robert McDiarmid, age 74, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 at his home in West Branch, MI surrounded by his family. He was born on February 28, 1947 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Margaret (Andrews) McDiarmid.

John lived in West Branch since 2006 formerly of Garden City, MI. He married Bonnie Weber in Detroit on November 19, 1971.

John served in the United States Army serving in Korea in the DMZ Zone as an Imjin Scout. He retired from Ford Motor Company and was a member of the NRA. He enjoyed camping, hiking, hunting, four wheeling, being outdoors, and the Henry Ford Museum.

John is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Bonnie McDiarmid; sons, Jon McDiarmid and Joseph McDiarmid; grandchildren, Sabrina (Tyler) Kirn, Anastasia (Kayla Marcum) McDiarmid, and Skylar (Anthony) Perfetto; great grandchildren, Analicia, Olive and Selene Kirn, and Blake Perfetto; brother, Stuart (Linda) McDiarmid; and friends, Jeff (Laurie) and Jim.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place and no service is scheduled at this time.
