Joe Patrick Gage

Joe Patrick Gage, age 71, of St. Helen, MI, passed away on Tuesday, August 8, 2023, at MyMichigan Medical Center in West Branch. Born on April 24, 1952, in West Branch, Joe was the son of Angus and Betty (Dakin) Gage.

Joe's career began early on as he joined his father's construction company, Angus Gage & Son. He honed his skills in the construction industry, working alongside his dad. Later, Joe served as a maintenance worker at both Kirtland Community College and St. Helen Elementary School.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Joe had a passion for various hobbies. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and moral mushroom hunting, immersing himself in the tranquility of nature. As a devoted NASCAR enthusiast, Joe proudly cheered for Sterling Marlin. Joe’s greatest passion was his grandchildren and spending as much time as possible with them.

Joe leaves behind a loving family to cherish his memory. He is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Gage of St. Helen, MI. He also leaves behind his daughters, Tracy (Rich) Cruz and Jodi (Jerry Kirsch) Gage, both residing in St. Helen. Joe's legacy continues through his cherished grandchildren, Chelsey, Randy, Gwen, Kalin, and Parker.

He is preceded in death by his parents.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be scheduled and announced later.
