Jesse C. Speer

Jesse C. Speer, age 87, of Rose City, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2007 at Bortz Health Care in Rose City. He had been a resident of Rose City for 32 years, formerly of Saginaw. He was a member of the VFW #6468 of Rose City and the Trinity United Methodist Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and sports. Mr. Speer is survived by his wife, Daisy of Rose City, children; Gary (Vicki) Speer of Freeland, Linda (Joseph) Juras of Prudenville, Jessie (Ray) Otto of Wisconsin, Fred (Darlene) Speer of Colorado Springs, CO and Michael (Diane) Speer of Saginaw. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Gary Jay Speer and a granddaughter, Krystal Lee Speer. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in Rose City will begin on Tuesday, November 20, 2007 from 2-7 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home. Rev. Donald Wojewski will officiate with burial following at 2:00 p.m. at Big Creek Township Cemetery in Luzerne.
