Jerry Lee White, age 88 of Prescott, MI, passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at his home with family by his side. Jerry was born on August 28, 1935, to Kenneth and Laura (Byers) White in Pontiac, MI.
Jerry was a dedicated metal pattern maker at Pontiac Motor Foundry Pattern Shop for 34 years. His craftsmanship and work ethic left an indelible mark on all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Jerry was a member of the Carver's Club. Throughout his life, Jerry enjoyed the simple pleasures like carving and caring for his lawn. His passion for these hobbies was evident to all who visited his groomed yard or admired his handcrafted creations.
Among his proudest accomplishments were being Santa Claus in the parade for two years and bringing holiday cheer to countless faces. Additionally, Jerry cherished his marriage to Alyce Dianne Mann on March 22, 1953, a union that brought him 71 years of immeasurable happiness and fulfillment.
Jerry is survived by his beloved wife Alyce Dianne White, their daughter Deborah (Joseph) Switalski, along with eight grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Rick White, grandson Jeffrey Switalski, and brother Kenneth Wayne White.
A memorial gathering to honor Jerry's life will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Homes in West Branch. The gathering will commence at 1:00 PM and conclude at 3:00 PM.
In remembrance of Jerry Lee White's legacy of hard work, dedication to family, and love for life's simple pleasures, may he rest in peace.
In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to the West Branch District Library.
