Jeffrey W. Rhine, age 40 of West Branch, passed away Monday, June 11, 2012 at his home with his family at his side. Jeff had lived in West Branch for the past 8 years, formerly of Harrison, born and raised in Standish. Jeff began his working career at age 15 beginning at Ashcraft’s Market in Standish and Harrison, working his way up through the company. Following that he was employed at Federal Broach in Harrison, Mistequay Machine Shop in Standish, then achieved his lifelong dream of owning and operating the 7-Eleven Convenience Store in West Branch for the past 9 years. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Mid-Forest Lodge and the 7-Eleven Franchise Association. Jeff inspired and touched many lives through his connections with school, work, community and his love and interest for the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family whether at home or work. His enjoyment was fulfilled being outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping, 4-wheeling with his family and snuggling with his boys. Jeff is survived by his wife Rhonda Rhine and his sons, Zachery, Jacob and Braden all of West Branch, his parents, Tom and Connie (Kopasz) Rhine of Bentley, his brothers, Jim (Julie) Rhine of Pinconning, Kevin (Jamie) Rhine of Standish and his sister Beth Rhine of Saginaw. Also surviving are his nieces and nephews, Alivia, Nathan, Noah, Addison, Luke and his future niece Brooklyn, his mother and father- in-law Ron and Carol (Young) Bellor of Standish, his two brothers-in-law Dion (Sherry) Bellor of Big Lake, Minnesota and Tracy Bellor of Houghton Lake and his wife’s grandparents, Elmer “Bob” and Lourene Bellor of Linwood. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bob and Gerry Rhine and Erwin and Vera Kopasz. Visitation at the Steuernol & McLaren Funeral Home in West Branch will begin on Thursday, June 14, 2012 from 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. There will be a Scripture Service at 7:30 p.m. The Celebration of Life Mass will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 15, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Branch with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Fr. Patrick Maher will officiate with burial following at St. Joseph Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family of Jeffrey Rhine with intentions to be used towards St. Joseph Church, Mid-Michigan Hospice and an education fund for Zachery, Jacob and Braden Rhine.
