Jeannine Kay Holcomb

Jeannine Kay Holcomb, age 61, of West Branch passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024, peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side. 

Jeannine was born in Saginaw, MI on November 4, 1962, to Daniel Doyle Jr. and Joan (Hobbs) Doyle. After an early battle in life with childhood leukemia, she graduated from Valley Lutheran High School and went on to learn and pursue a career in Phlebotomy at Saginaw Medical Center (now Covenant Healthcare). 

Jeannine met the love of her life, Patrick, in 1984 in Saginaw and were married the following year. They resided in West Branch, MI since 1986, had three beautiful children, three wonderful grandchildren, and enjoyed 38 years of marriage.

Jeannine worked at the West Branch Regional Medical Center (now MyMichigan West Branch) as a phlebotomist for 27 years where she met many people of the community and made many friends. 

Jeannine loved spending time with her grandchildren, vacations in Michigan’s UP, pan fishing, gardening, studying her Bible, and making her famous fresh raspberry pies. She was an active member of Our Savior Lutheran Church where she attended regularly. Jeannine will be remembered by her friends and family as one who kept the two greatest commandments: Love the Lord with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind, and to love your neighbor as yourself. 

Jeannine was preceded in death by her father Daniel Doyle Jr. and is survived by her mother Joan Doyle, husband Patrick Holcomb, son Joshua (Lindsey) Holcomb, daughters Kelsie (Chad) Avram, and Rebecca O’Dell, grandchildren Callan Avram, Trevor and Taylor O’Dell, sister Gail Oulette, brothers Robert (Beverly) Doyle Sr., and James (Michelle) Doyle.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 15, 2024 at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 331 Clendening Rd, Gladwin MI at 10:00 a.m. and the funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m.  Pastor Adam Flanick will officiate.

Memorial contributions can be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
