Jean A. Rau

Jean A. Rau, age 71, passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at her home in Alger, MI. She had lived in Alger for the past 20 years, formerly of Rose City, MI and the Seattle, WA area. Jean was born on August 4, 1945 in Seattle, WA to Frank and Luella (Gale) Blanton. She was a member of the Eagles and Moose Lodge in West Branch, MI. She enjoyed having fun on the pontoon, camping, traveling, and cooking.

Jean is survived by her loving husband, James Rau of Alger; children, Deanna Freeman, Cheryl Charles, Danny Battishell, Debbie Derocher, and Tom Derocher; step children, James Rau, Thomas Rau, and Shannon (Larry) Illig; many grandchildren, step grandchildren, and siblings.

A private family service has been held.
